“To You they cried out, and were saved” (Tehillim 22:6): as it says, “And the children of Yisrael groaned” (Shemos 2:23). “And were saved”: as it says, “And Hashem saved on that day” (Shemos 14:30). And why all this? “In You they trusted, and were not put to shame”: all in the merit of [their] trusting.
